Bunion

Bunion is a circumscribed swelling consisting of a callus covering a fibromatous growth. A bunion is nature's protection against constant pressure and friction.

Symptoms of Bunion

Bunions commonly appear over the metatarsophalangeal joints-the first and fifth, and in deformed feet that have been confined to ill-fitting shoes. They look ugly, but are generally, painless.

Treatment of Bunion

The treatment consists in excising the bunion, and in correcting the foot deformity by orthopedic methods.
