Dangers of Plastic Surgery
No surgery is risk free, but fortunately, in the hands of an experienced surgeon, complications are seldom and usually correctable. Your plastic surgeon can and should do several things to minimize your chances of unwanted results.
Bleeding and hematomas (blood collections under the skin), infections, or seromas (fluid collections under the skin) are possible complications of surgery, and are usually easily treated when discovered early.
The dangers of plastic surgery of one person do not vary with the other person and are not common. The patient can suffer physically, emotionally and psychologically after pursuing the plastic surgery if the plastic surgery has not been performed successfully and leads to some dangers or risks.
Skin rashes or reactions to the sutures or anesthesia are also possible complications of plastic surgery. These primary complications when unidentified or left untreated can lead to wound separation, sloughing of the skin or death of deeper tissues.
The most common risks of plastic surgery are the spots or marks. It is true that every type of plastic surgery leaves one or the other kind of marks or scars on the body which is visible and fades with the time. But if the plastic surgery is successful, then it does not take a long time to heal the wound.
Finally, damage to nerves may result in changes in sensation of the skin or movement of the affected muscles. There may be additional risks that are specific to each procedure.
