Plastic surgery is a procedure that uses surgical techniques to change the appearance and function of a person's body. The word plastic derives from the Greek plastikos meaning to mold or to shapebut not meant the synthetic polymer material known as plastic.
Plastic surgery is a surgical specialty dedicated to reconstruction of facial and body defects due to birth disorders, trauma, burns, and disease. The art and science of plastic surgery is also involved with the enhancement of the appearance of a person through such operations as facelift, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, and liposuction.
There is a development of appearance, assurance and self image in the patients attempted by the plastic surgeons and this is executed by reconstructive and cosmetic procedures.
