Monsoon Makeup Tips

Make-up lovers consider monsoon as the season creating skin problems. In monsoon, make-up can be washed out severely. The season comes with the raised temperatures and humidity causing many skin problems.

Ideas to keep you cheerful even in rainy season

• Foundation for Monsoon

Avoid using foundation and face cream during monsoon. You can go for water resistant or waterproof foundation.

• Powder for Monsoon

Use powder formulas instead of creams. Use sparingly to blot the shine off of your nose and face. Never use pressed powder as it tends to become patchy.

• Eye make-up for Monsoon

You should not wear heavy eye make-up. Use waterproof eyeliner and mascara to avoid weeping black tears. You can try eye pencil instead of eye liner. Use a little hair gel onto a brow brush to define the brows. Do not use the Kohl pencil becausse it tends to easily smudge. If you cannot use eyebrow pencil during the rain, try to keep your eyebrows up to the mark by threading, plucking or trimming.

• Blush for Monsoon

Apply blush lightly and keep it blend. You can use cream blush in peach, brown and pink in color. Cream blushers are water- friendly and can be easily dabbed with a tissue if the face gets wet.

• Lips for Monsoon

Use water resistant lipsticks to color your lips so as to protect the lips from humidity. Soft matte lipsticks are advisable during monsoon. You can use long lasting colors but avoid liquid lip colors for this season. For lip liners, use light shades of pink and brown with sheer gloss.

Other make-up tips during monsoon

Clean the face thoroughly and rub an ice cube for some 5-10 minutes to keep the effect of make-up for longer time.

In case of oily skin, use astringent and for dry skin, you can use toner to cool and refresh the skin.

Prepare a velvety base before wearing monsoon make-up. The base of make-up can be prepared by foundation but apply it sparingly. Powder foundations are preferable than cream foundations because it gets melt with water easily. Even face powder is better one.

Use waterproof make-up and cosmetics but never forget to remove it before going to bed at night.
