Herbal Powders and Deodorants
2 tablespoons alum
1 pint warm water
Stir together alum and water. Add a small amount of your favorite cologne or aftershave lotion. Transfer to a clean spray bottle.
Take Juice from about two dozen radishes and add 1/4 teaspoon of glycerine to it and put in a spray-top bottle. Use this as an underarm deodorant. This is also useful home remedy for body odor.
In a spray bottle put 3 tablespoons of vanilla extract, 1 cup water and 1 teaspoon rubbing alcohol. Shake this mixture well enough to be sprayed all over your body and clothes.
High potency of vitamin B i.e. 50 mg or higher is recommended. This can be combined with Magnesium, which can help reducing certain secretions that may cause body odor. Experts suggest taking of 100 mg of PABA and 100 mg of B6. Its an effective natural cure for body odor.
Sage Deodorizing Foot Powder
1 tablespoon of baking powder
2 drops of Sage essential oil
Mix baking powder and oil in a plastic bag, shake well. Allow to dry. Break up any clumps that may have formed. Dust feet regularly with the powder and add a teaspoon in the shoes overnight. This is also one of the excellent home remedies for body odor.
Citrus and Herbal Deodorant
This gentle, antibacterial deodorant uses some of the most effective deodorant essential oils, including bergamot, thyme, and clary sage. Blended with flower waters and witch hazel into a refreshing spray, this deodorant has a delicious, refreshing aroma that is suitable for both women and men. Ingredients that use in this deodorant.
1 tsp high proof vodka
10 drops bergamot
8 drops clary sage
7 drops thyme
5 drops rosewood
5 drops lemon
3 drops lavender
2 drops mandarin
4 tb sp (40 ml) witch hazel
2 tb sp (25 ml) linden flower water
2 tb sp (25 ml) orange flower water
Measure the vodka into a 4 oz (l00 ml) glass bottle with a spray attachment. Carefully add the essential oils, one by one. Shake vigorously to dissolve the essential oils.
Pour the witch hazel into the bottle, using a funnel if necessary, followed by the two flower waters. Shake well .
Label the bottle and the deodorant is now ready to use.
before you use the deodorant each time, give the bottle a good shake to ensure the essential oils are fully dispersed.
