Stop lice spreading routines
When lice infects human body it lives mainly in hair and pubic hair. They are unable to fly or jump. Although they infest mainly children’s hair it is not true that they only affect those children that have poor hygiene. They spread when children come in close contact with them most often through sharing personal things such as comb or their physical activities. They may also move onto another animal. When you notice lice, such a problem should be immediately dealt with because lice spreads various diseases including typhus.
Methods of dealing with lice
The first step in getting rid of lice is to make sure that we maintain regular washing and hygiene while we need to use either chemical or natural ways of getting rid them as well. Washing our body, hair, wearing clean clothes, along with using clean clothes is essential when dealing with lice. Using combs that belong to other people as well as neglecting hygiene can trigger getting lice that more often occurs among children. Red spots on the skin and white eggs that are attached to hair can be detected easier than lice itself. It is prudent to check for head lice every now and then, as no one is immune from them while not all children scratch their heads when they have them. They can survive without the host for a few hours and remain on pillows or shits that need to be thoroughly washed.
Hygiene routines need to be adopted first
Hair needs to be washed with a large amount of shampoo and use a conditioner. Lice can be removed through combing hair with an nit comb. A dermatologist can prescribe various chemical remedies, but regular washing and getting rid of lice through combing should alleviate the condition as well. When combing is done a few times and lice killed, we can wash hair with alcohol and then wash it, rinsing with vinegar. All clothing, towels, and sheets should be washed in high temperature and ironed through a wet rug that kills lice.
Common methods for dealing with lice
Other remedies that kill lice includes vaseline that can be rubbed into hair left over night and then removed. Another way to remove live is with vinegar and alcohol.
Other methods for lice
We can also remove lice with olive oil treatment that needs to cover the head entirely for up to 12 hours and then wash your hair.
Chemical products available that kill lice
Insecticides can also help with lice. One advantage of this type of method is that there are exact directions on how to use them that also have been proven. This procedure should be repeated in 10 days after eggs hatch. It is not enough to kill adult lice as nits also need to be picked and killed. There are various types of insecticides and pyrethroids available. If they don’t produce the required results a stronger solution can be used or another type of insecticide used.
