What causes acne

Acne is a common problem, and most people come up with some solutions to deal with it.  It is usually caused by hormonal changes in our bodies. It occurs mainly in places where sebaceous glands occur. For this reason they mostly occur on face and back. The reason for acne is due to gland clogging causing the accumulation of bacteria that also leads to infection and other changes that can be dangerous to the skin because they leave scars.  If acne is severe it may cause low self-esteem and can affect negatively our psyche. There is little medical knowledge available about what causes acne.

Most probable causes of acne are thought to be derived through genes while other causes involve hormonal imbalances. Diet and lifestyle can have an impact on acne. With healthy lifestyle that includes exercises, lower amounts of sugar consumed, and a well balanced diet, our skin also improves. Smoking and drinking large amounts of strong coffee also leads to unhealthy skin. Also exposure to certain weather conditions can create acne.

Individual remedies reflect individual health

Taking care of our health and adopting healthy habits should be the first step in eliminating this condition. As individuals react differently to external conditions, each requires different remedies. Those remedies differ depending on specific characteristics or individual needs. Those that suffer only mild outbreaks of acne can be cured by using remedies that affects their health generally, such as drinking herbal teas. It is best, however, to consult a specialist that can assess the severity and individual needs. Home remedies can have at times modest results if they are not matched with individual cases.

Sugar and vitamins consumed linked to acne

In all cases, acne improves if less sugar is consumed. It is recommended to eat enough vitamins in meals and generally eat healthy. It is important to consume vegetables along with iron and zinc.

Common methods to treat acne

One way of treating acne is garlic that can be simply rubbed into the skin. When done several times a day, it can cure problems with acne. It also helps to eat garlic that purifies the blood stream.

Consult your doctor and relax more

All cases of acne can be exacerbated with higher than normal effort or sweat, stress, improper diet, excessive amount of vitamin B12, sun, menstruation, pregnancy, certain medications, or medications that clog pores. Using improper methods of curing acne without consultation with a dermatologist can cause skin changes that can be difficult to remove.

Use homemade methods with caution

There are different types of acne that can be identified only by a dermatologist. After consulting a dermatologist we may choose to use homemade cures for acne. Only if acne is mild we can try using various gels for washing the face. Such gels reduce sebum and also reduce infections. Moisturising creams that don’t clog the skin can also be useful. Also antibacterial creams can relieve acne. Your face should be washed twice a day but not more than that as frequent washing damages those bacteria that protect our skin.
